Welcome to our 17th series of May 29, Mount Everest Marathon, with the 2003 May 19 Test Run as a plus, which is dedicated to the name of two Great Human Being Late Sir Edmund Hillary & Tenzing Norgay Memorial. “Plant a Tree for someone you LOVE. Plant a Tree for someone who LOVES you. Plant a Tree for everyone who LOVES your passion, saving Mother Earth from Climate Change.” We are already carrying our Everest Garbage Bag to carry a little bit of the garbage from Everest Base Camp on our Run to the Finishing Line at Namche Bazaar to hand over to the Local Authorities, officially. This will show the World that how much care you give to the Mountains you are Trekking & Marathon running, which will prove that you are a “Real Responsible Runner”. So, planting Trees will add a new exciting feature to our Mount Everest (TenzingHillary) Marathon from 2022. By doing this, our Runners will be contributing to help stop the fast glaciers melting and also contributing to saving the Environment of Mount Everest to reverse Climate Change. Dual Guinness World Record Holder Parvaneh Moayedi

Recognized for her unparalleled endurance, she secured the title for the Most Marathons Run by a Woman in One Year, completing a staggering 168 races. Additionally, she achieved the record for the Most Consecutive Marathons Run by a Female, an awe-inspiring feat of completing 17 races in succession. Her indomitable spirit drove her to push her limits even further. She became the only Iranian woman to be accepted and complete the grueling Badwater Ultramarathon in both 2013 and 2014. This race, renowned as the world’s toughest foot race, spans 135 non-stop miles from Death Valley to Mt. Whitney, CA, with scorching temperatures reaching up to 130°F. Suunto and Salomon Sponsored Prizes

The 14th edition of the marathon was organized successfully on May 29. The event which was dedicated to bicentenary of Birtan-Nepal relationship was attended by British Ambassador Mr. Richard Morris who ran a symbolic distance of 8,848m in the event. The event had a total of three categories: The Everest marathon (full): 42.8 KM The Everest ultra-Marathon: 60KM The Everest Half- marathon: 21KM Everest Marathon winners received exciting prizes sponsored by SUUNTO and SALOMON. The following prizes were distributed to the winners. Prizes for the ultra-runners (60k) 1st: SUUNTO (AMBIT3 BLACK HR) 2nd: SUUNTO (TRAVERSE) 3rd: SALOMON (SPEEDCROSS 3 SHOES) Prize for male and female full marathon (40k) runners: 1st: XA PRO 3D (SALOMON) 2nd: SPEEDCROSS 3 (SALOMON) 3rd: SENSE MANTRA 2 (SALOMON) This is what the runners have to say regarding the prizes they received. Full Marathon(42K) Males Bed Bahadur Sunwar (4 hrs 10 sec): “I really needed a nice pair of running shoes after running through the Everest Marathon. Thankfully, I now have a comfortable pair of shoes and hopefully, I can run faster.” Bhim Bahadur Gurung (4 hrs 3 min 14 sec): “The shoes are very comfortable, much better than the ones I used to wear.” Full Marathon(42K) Females Purnamaya Rai ( 5 hrs 24 min 00 sec hrs): “Running is much easier with these shoes, better grip and much more comfortable.” Nirkala Kulung (5 hrs 38 min 01 sec hrs): “The shoes are a pleasure to my feet.
