About Everest Runners Fund

Everest Marathon has created Everest Runners Fund to Support Local Runners to go Higher in the International Arena.

Nepali runners are some of the best trail runners in the world. Recently, few Nepali runners have managed to create headlines in the international trail running arena, Despite their success and potential; most of them rarely get a chance abroad. This is mostly due to budget constraints, also the fact the per capita income of an average Nepali is USD $682.20 per person.

International competitions are expensive for the locals. Entry fees, travelling cost and hotels expenses are big obstacles. Hence this fund was created to help the local athletes meet these costs and get them to international races more easily.
